Here's an event for local readers: the Gowanus Dredgers (a great name for an expansion team) are hosting a benefit on October 27th on the banks of the Gowanus Canal, an urban waterway I Hank Plank and the 2x4's, a man called Billy Bones the Friendly Pirate will be on hand to terrorize your children, and of course you never know what might come floating down the hardest working canal in Brooklyn. Write in if you want to meet at the Gowanus Yacht Club for beers before or after.
